The Pawn is one of the few old 'tong lau' buildings that have gone through a vast renovation to preserve the historical look, yet incorporating in facilities for modern business and building standards. Unfortunately the overall renovation has left the rooftop untouched and the space has not been utilized to its full potential.

The Greenhouse is a proposed design to re-purpose the open rooftop by facilitating a wine bar and lounge. The design takes advantage of the existing structure and adds on new elements to attract people and  improving on the building facade. Originally, the was rumors that the Pawn rooftop was to be turned into a rooftop garden during the renovation of the restaurant located the two floors below, but this didn't happen. In this design the idea of a garden has been taken further to create a hide out, a vineyard in the urban city.
